As per the directions of Chairman Mufti Abdul Wahab, AWF has been feeding vulnerable individuals in collaboration with other charity organisations working in the same domain to reach out to a maximum number of people in need.
Cooked Meals & Food Packs Distribution Through My Yard Charity
Al-Wahab Foundation has collaborated with My Yard Charity, an organisation working to reduce food waste and actively respond to food deprivation among the poor and needy people. AWF provides boxes of freshly cooked hot meals to My Yard Charity every Tuesday that are then distributed among those who are well-deserving.
Moreover, AWF also provided food and essentials packages to My Yard Charity so that the assistance can reach those who need it the most. Until now, we have provided 50 essential items bags and over 440 cooked meal boxes.
Cooked Meals Provision Through London Community Kitchen
Previously, AWF provided freshly cooked hot meals to London Community Kitchen from where people belonging to all backgrounds could have their meals without any reservations. Our organisation achieved to serve poor and the needy through this initiative from 2021 to 2023 with a distribution of a total of 4,187 food boxes.
Distribution of Winter Survival Kits
As the winter season sets in the UK, the challenges increase for those who are homeless due to unemployment and lack of financial resources compelled to sleep under the open sky on London streets. The harsh cold winds and frequent rainfalls pose a threat to the well-being of these homeless individuals who struggle for their survival every single day. Understanding the intensity of this issue and to provide maximum comfort to the homeless people, Al-Wahab Foundation distributed winter survival kits among the needy people.
These winter survival kits included pairs of winter socks, hats, sleeping bags, winter gloves, and heavy boots to provide a shield from winter harshness. Moreover, our team distributed cooked food boxes along with these winter kits as a source of warmth and nourishment in such challenging weather.
