The most anticipated Global Peace and Unity Festival returned to London on the 19th and 20th of October, 2024 at ExCel. Since it’s inception in 2005, the consistent success of this event and people waiting for it every year has made it a shining symbol for diverse communities. Everyone gathers to celebrate rich traditions and contemporary lifestyles while conveying a message of peace.
This year, Al-Wahab Foundation proudly exhibited at the GPU Festival to disseminate the message of serving humanity. The event was worth-waiting for as it returned after a long-break of a decade. The most impressive thing about this occasion was a turnout of 50,000 attendees which shows the love and support for Global Peace and Unity Festival over the years.
The most awaited Global Peace and Unity Festival was a huge gathering to celebrate peace, unity, and togetherness. The Muslim community living in the UK showed up symbolising solidarity.
The event was adorned with the presence of noteworthy personalities including the great Islamic Scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil, CEO of Bayyinah Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan, Speaker and Author Sheikh Hammad Mustafa Al-Madani, Al-Qadri, Sheikh Suleman Moola and many more.
In addition, the soulful Nasheed performances by the well-known Nasheed Artists including Mesut Kurtis, Humood Alkhudher, Harris J, Najam Shiraz, Salwa Najam, and others lit up the night for the attendees.
Al-Wahab Foundation’s presence at Global Peace and Unity Festival at ExCel, London proved a remarkable move as it presented the opportunity to interact with a number of people attending the event. Our team organised some engaging activities for the visitors who enjoyed it to their best. From sweet treats to gifts on winning the game, we had a great fun time with everyone visiting our stall.
The most impressive thing was the attendees taking interest in our charitable initiatives and donating at the spot to reach out to the well-deserving. We are thankful to everyone who visited us and strengthened our presence as a charity organisation, working under the vision of Chairman Mufti Abdul Wahab to transform lives.
The Global Peace and Unity Festival was a fantastic opportunity and a reminder for all of us that strengthening communities demands everyone to engage in impactful interactions through such events. While we strive to give out a message of peace all around, we need to get together at such occasions more frequently to synbolise unity and diversity within and outside the Muslim community.
