Al-Wahab Foundation’s Earthquake Relief in Afghanistan
Afghanistan was once again hit by a deadly earthquake in the rugged northeastern province of Kunar near the Pakistan border. According to the latest news reports, over 1,300 killed and more than 3,000 injured subsequent to the deadly tremors. The long-suffering Afghanis are once again dealing with an urgent crisis, making their survival difficult. Responding to this situation, Al-Wahab Foundation stepped forward to provide relief to those in dire need through the Afghanistan Earthquake Appeal.
How Al-Wahab Foundation Responded to the Emergency in Afghanistan ?
Al-Wahab Foundation, under the supervision of Chairman Mufti Abdul Wahab, has consistently taken the lead in responding to global emergency situations. The destruction in Afghanistan is immense. We are committed to providing urgent aid to families affected by this disaster.
With countless survivors struggling for food in the calamity-stricken parts of Afghanistan, our priority was to ensure that families had access to nourishing meals in this hour of need.
Food Packs Distribution
Through our urgent relief efforts in Afghanistan, we have distributed 150 Food Packs among the most deserving earthquake affected families. Each of these food packs contain essential food items such as rice, flour, lentils, oil, and other staples, enough to sustain a family of 6 for the whole month.
Cooked Food Distribution
Due to devastating earthquakes in Afghanistan, the flow of life has been disrupted. Many families don’t have means to cook for themselves while countless have lost their homes and are facing unimaginable hardship due to displacement. Understanding the severity of this situation, team AWF has served over 1,500 Hot Meals to survivors, ensuring to provide nourishment and hope during this challenging time.
