Mufti Abdul Wahab’s Pakistan Relief Trip For Al-Wahab Foundation – An Overview!

Like every year, Chairman Al-Wahab Foundation, Mufti Abdul Wahab recently embarked on a journey to provide relief and hope in Pakistan with a focus on bringing assistance to underserved communities through various projects. Here’s an overview of his impactful Pakistan Relief Trip and humanitarian efforts done there.

Eye Surgery Camp at Al-Baseer Hospital, KarachiEye Surgery Camp at Al-Baseer Hospital, Karachi

Chairman Mufti Abdul Wahab began his journey by visiting Al-Baseer Hospital in Karachi, where he met with eye surgery patients. Al-Wahab Foundation has been providing free of cost eye care facilities to the most deserving people under Al-Wahab Foundation’s Eye Care Project. Those who are referred for Eye Cataract Surgeries after examination at Eye Camps, are then operated without any charges at Al-Baseer Hospital. During his visit, Chairman Mufti Abdul Wahab engaged with the 40 patients being operated on and reviewed arrangements while expressing gratitude for the dedication of the team for this project.

Masjid Visit in Khipro

Masjid Visit in KhiproAl-Wahab Foundation has been constructing new Masjids from the ground in deprived areas like Khipro and Hingorno where there were none before.

During the Pakistan Relief Trip, Chairman AWF Mufti Abdul Wahab visited the new mosques and inaugurated them. These mosques are gifts for the locals to serve as a centre of gathering for Muslims to offer congregational prayers and for children to get religious education.

Water Well and Water Hand Pumps Inspection

In Achro Thar and Khipro, clean drinking water is difficult to find due to which locals are at a higher risk of waterborne diseases. Through AWF’s Water for Life Project, the team has installed water wells and water hand pumps, providing sustainable solutions to this problem. During his visit, Mufti Abdul Wahab inaugurated and inspected these hand pumps and water wells installed to serve communities with safe drinking water. These water sources will significantly reduce the need for villagers to travel long distances to fetch water.

Feeding the Families Through Food Packs Distribution

Food deprivation is another major issue the locals of Achro Thar and Khipro have to face on a daily basis. To combat food insecurity in these underserved areas, Mufti Abdul Wahab supervised distribution of 250 food packs, sufficient to nourish a family of six for an entire month. Each food pack was thoughtfully prepared to meet the nutritional needs of the recipients, helping them lead healthier lives.

Brightening Lives with Solar Panels

A new initiative for which Al-Wahab Foundation has stepped forward is the provision of Solar Panels. The regions like Achro Thar and Khipro lack electricity, making them lead their lives in the darkness. To address this, Al-Wahab Foundation installed 20 solar panels under the supervision of Chairman Mufti Abdul Wahab in homes without access to electricity. These solar panels provide a sustainable energy source, allowing families to illuminate their homes.

Eye Examinations for School Children

During the Pakistan Relief Trip, Chairman Mufti Abdul Wahab visited a local school of Karachi where he supervised eye examination camp for children. As education is the key to a brighter future, Mufti Abdul Wahab believes that nothing should hinder the process for any of the children studying at schools. Identifying eye sight issues early allows children to get necessary treatments, helping them excel academically.

Wheelchair Distribution for Assistance in Mobility

Wheelchair Distribution for Assistance in MobilityAnother important activity carried out during the Pakistan Relief Trip was serving the differently-abled people in need. Mufti Abdul Wahab distributed wheelchairs to individuals facing mobility challenges through AWF’s Zakat donations. Each wheelchair not only provides physical mobility but also opens up equal opportunities for employment, education, and social engagement for those, who otherwise cannot live a quality life.

Overseeing Arrangements at the Eye Camp in Gadap Town, Karachi

Meeting the patients with eye sight problems, who cannot afford to get their eyes examined, was one of the most important initiatives during this visit for Chairman Mufti Abdul Wahab. As eyes are most important to live an active life, team Al-Wahab Foundation has been organising free eye camps to provide treatment to those in need. Mufti Abdul Wahab visited an eye camp in Gadap Town, Karachi, where he inspected arrangements and met with staff and patients.

Winter Survival Kits Distribution

Winter is not a pleasant time of the year for the numerous challenges it brings. As the temperatures drop, it becomes difficult for deprived communities to keep themselves warm and protected from harsh cold weather. Under AWF’s Winter Appeal, Mufti Abdul Wahab concluded his Pakistan Relief Trip by distributing Winter Survival Kits to the most deserving in Gadap Town, Karachi. These winter kits include all essential items to provide comfort from cold weather. Under this initiative, team AWF distributed 50 blankets and warm winter clothes to the beneficiaries.
