1. When is Eid Al-Adha?

2. For How Many Days Is Eid Al-Adha Celebrated?

According to the Islamic calendar, the festivities of Eid Al-Adha 2024 will begin on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah and will end on the evening of the 13th of Dhul Hijjah. Eid Al-Adha will be celebrated for three days so that the sacrificial meat can reach to a maximum number of the most deserving people.

3. When Does Eid Al-Adha End in the UK?

Concerning the Islamic Calendar, Eid Al-Adha will end on the evening of 13th Dhul Hijjah. Following the Gregorian Calendar, Eid Al-Adha or Eid Ul-Adha in the UK will end on the evening of Tuesday, 18th June 2024. It is advised to pre-book your Qurbani to avoid any mismanagement right on Eid day.

Ways to Celebrate Eid Al-Adha 2024

1. Offering Eid Prayers

Before the Eid Al-Adha date arrives, make sure to check the Eid Namaz timings with your local mosques to make up for being there on time. The blessing of this Eid begins with the congregational Eid prayer where everyone meets and greets each other reflecting the brotherhood and harmony according to the teachings of Islam.

2. Sacrificing Animals on Eid

After offering Eid prayers, it’s time for you to make arrangements for performing Qurbani in 2024. The sacrifice is made after saying Takbeer and the animal is then cut into portions for distribution. Once the meat is ready, ensure to distribute it earliest possible among the well-deserving according to Shariah.
