Meet Azra – a resilient individual living in the city of Hatay, Turkiye. Like many others in her community, Azra found herself facing unprecedented challenges due to miserable conditions after the earthquake. Hatay was struck by a series of natural disasters, leaving its residents in a state of emergency, struggling to access basic necessities for survival.

The region experienced severe disruptions to its infrastructure and services, leaving families like Azra’s dealing with food scarcity, lack of shelter, and limited access to essential items. With the sudden loss of livelihood opportunities and resources, the community was in dire need of urgent assistance.

Azra, a mother of four, shared the hardships they faced daily:

“My name is Azra, and I reside in Hatay with my family. Our lives were turned upside down by the unusual conditions that struck our city. We lost our home, our belongings, and our means of income. Providing for my children became an overwhelming challenge, as we struggled to find food, clean water, and other necessities. It was a time of immense uncertainty and fear for our future.”

Recognizing the dire situation faced by Azra’s family and others in the region, Al-Wahab Foundation swiftly intervened to provide an Emergency Relief Package. This comprehensive package included essential food items and other necessities sufficient to serve Azra’s family and others for better survival during these trying times.

Through the generosity of compassionate donors, Al-Wahab Foundation’s Emergency Relief Package brought a glimmer of hope to Azra’s family. The relief provisions offered them a lifeline, enabling them to cope with the challenges and rebuild their lives amidst the crisis.
