Ramadan is a time of strengthening faith, reflection, and giving. It is the time of the year that encourages compassion, unity, and gratitude which are the values that Al-Wahab Foundation upholds through its various humanitarian projects.
This Ramadan 2025, our team had the privilege of organising Iftar for NHS staff at three hospitals in London, i.e. Northwick Park Hospital, Central Middlesex Hospital, and Ealing Hospital NHS Trust. This initiative was a heartfelt gesture of honour and appreciation to the dedicated NHS staff, Muslims and non-Muslims, who work tirelessly to serve the community. Here is how our team managed to mark these events successful this Ramadan:
At Northwick Park Hospital, our team organised Iftar for NHS, including doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other staff members on 6th March 2025. Our team shared the blessings of Ramadan with the frontline workers who dedicate their lives to patient care. Many Muslim staff members fast during their long shifts, showing exceptional resilience. By arranging this activity, Al-Wahab Foundation aimed to bring the community together regardless of religion while defining Ramadan’s essence. Through this project, we distributed 350 freshly cooked halal hot meals among the NHS Heroes at Northwick Park Hospital.
With the same high spirits and sense of bringing the community together to share Ramadan blessings, team Al-Wahab Foundation arranged Iftar for NHS staff at Central Middlesex Hospital on 10th March 2025. the atmosphere was warm and grateful as our team delivered delicious halal Iftar meals to the hardworking NHS staff. This event not only provided nourishing meals but also allowed the Muslim and non-Muslim staff to reflect on the spirit of giving.
For many among the staff, it was their first time experiencing an Iftar gathering. Seeing their smiles and appreciation on their faces was a reminder of why these initiatives matter. Through this project, we provided 150 freshly cooked hot meals for doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other staff members at the hospital.
At Ealing Hospital NHS Trust, team Al-Wahab Foundation organised nourishing Iftar for NHS staff for Muslims and non-Muslims. Many healthcare workers observe fasting during Ramadan while serving the community on the frontline. Our team ensured to provide nourishing meals to NHS Heroes, underscoring the message of peace and harmony in the spirit of Ramadan.
The Ealing Hospital NHS Trust staff members expressed their appreciation for this initiative, highlighting how such activities bring the community closer. Under this initiative, our team distributed 250 freshly cooked halal meals among the doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other staff members.
Al-Wahab Foundation, under the vision of Chairman Mufti Abdul Wahab, has always been on the front to promote unity and harmony and spread the message of peace regardless of any discrimination. Al-Wahab Foundation’s Iftar initiatives are reaffirmation of the organisation’s commitment to giving back during Ramadan while strengthening community. We hope this effort serves as a reminder that kindness and compassion have no boundaries.
